Zula Cape Brandy is handcrafted in small batches at the southern tip of Africa using Colombard, Chenin Blanc and Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the unique climate of the Western Cape wine region of South Africa.
Using age-old traditional methods to distill and mature, Zula XO is double distilled in copper pot stills and slow matured in oak barrels to ensure a well-balanced but full and fragrant complexity.
TASTE
ZULA XO exudes a synergy of clean oak, tropical and citrus fruit notes with a mellow finish. It has a delicately balanced, fruity aftertaste enhanced with subtle hints of sherry and vanilla. Carefully selected oak barrels ensure a soft mouth feel with a long and rewarding finish.
WOOD SELECTION
ZULA XO is maturated for its entire aging process in small 200 litre oak barrels to ensure a brandy that is unique and unparalleled in quality and taste.
A masterful combination of French oak and American oak barrels contribute to ZULA XO’s depth of character, maturity and complexity. The French oak offers classic cognac notes of vanilla, spice and vintage wood, while the American oak contrasts with new age tropical undertones and sweet notes of caramel.
